Volunteering and Beyond Project Worker

Helen's job is to match prospective volunteers with one of the 300 volunteering opportunities in local organisations.  Anyone interested in finding out more about volunteering can make an appointment to see Helen at Park Lodge. She is here Tuesdays to Friday 10am to 3pm but appointments can be made any time during normal office hours.  Email enquiries are also very welcome. In addition, the Volunteer Centre can help volunteering organisations with their volunteer recruitment needs, for example, by advising on policies and volunteer job descriptions.

Ian Bradford

Ian has worked in the voluntary sector for over 30 years. He has been employed at a senior level at Charnwood CVS and North Warwickshire CVS and as Policy Advisor with Care & Repair England. He was appointed to his current role at RCVS in February 2001.

His role is to ensure that the Management Committee meets its governance responsibilities; that its strategic goals and objectives are met and to give leadership and direction to the organisation.

Ian is passionate about the role of the voluntary and community sector and is committed to ensuring that RCVS responds effectively to the needs of groups and organisations in Rushcliffe.

Liz Chant
altTemporary Transport Coordinator 

Liz has been driving for Rushcliffe Voluntary Transport Scheme for many years on a voluntary basis. Liz joined our staff team in 2011 to help coordinate day to day journeys and the running of the scheme. With all her driving experience, Liz has a wonderful working knowledge of the Scheme and how to get about around Rushcliffe and Nottingham!

Emily Devas

Emily works for 17 hours a week for the Housing Choices Service which gives older people information and support in making decisions about their future housing and care options.

Communications Administrator

Emily has worked for Rushcliffe CVS for over five years and has taken on a number of different roles in that time. She currently takes responsibility for designing and producing our publications, maintaining the website, marketing and managing the organisation's I.T. and monitoring. She also provides administrative support to the office, projects and transport scheme.

Seema Fakey

altCommunity Outreach Advisor

Seema is our Community Outreach Advisor. Her role involves visiting older people at home to give them advice on a whole range of issues from adaptations to the home, pension/ benefits advice and social activities to getting help with transport, making the home secure and keeping the home warm. Eleanor is able to signpost people on to relevant services. She has a large network of contacts from across the voluntary and statutory sector.

BAME Community Outreach Advisor

Seema is also a Community Outreach Advisor for Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities in Gedling and Broxtowe. Born in India and with experience of working with many different community groups, Seema brings a wealth of relevant experience and knowledge to the post. She speaks Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.

Carole Green

Carole has worked as the Office Manager for 5 years. Carole's roles and responsibilities are wide ranging and include management of personnel, finance and all administrative services for the organisation. She is line manager to the admin and information team and also oversees the running of the Voluntary Transport Scheme. Carole works 27 hours per week.

Lindsay Knott

Activity Friends Coordinator
 
Lindsay works part time as a Development Worker and part time as the Activity Friends Co-ordinator.
 
As a Development Worker Lindsay gives information, advice and support to help develop and manage groups, organisations or projects. She can help with issues such as writing a constitution, raising funds, governance and good practice (e.g. policies and procedures, trustee roles and responsibilities, supporting volunteers), training and publicity. Lindsay is also responsible for facilitating the Rushcliffe Community Cohesion Network.
 
As the Activity Friends Coordinator Lindsay is responsible for recruiting and supporting volunteers who provide encouragement and support to older people in helping them become more active. She works in partnership with multi sector organisations and agencies. The project aims to help older people to access the service and to provide a range of activities to improve health and well being.

Sue Knowles
altHealth Development Worker 
 

Sue has worked for Rushcliffe CVS since July 1999 as a Health Development Worker. She works with NHS County and Principia Health staff to support and promote the Patient and Public Involvement work in Rushcliffe. A large part of her role is working with members of the public who have shown an interest in becoming involved in the health agenda. She is responsible for facilitating the Rushcliffe Diabetes Forum and Rushcliffe 50+ Forum Health Sub Group and supports the Principia Rushcliffe Health Network and Rushcliffe Cancer Forum meetings. Sue has helped various groups with information/funding advice to enable health events to take place in Rushcliffe and is happy to help any group who would like to improve the health and well being of there group. Sue works 15 hours a week Tuesday - Thursday.

Jessica Molineaux

altHousing Choices Advisor

First Contact Coordinator

As a Housing Choices Advisor, Jessica gives advice, support and information to older people about the housing and care options that might be available to them.  The aim of the project is to encourage people to think ahead about their longer-term housing situation, and make informed decisions to ensure that they can stay as independent as possible.

Jessica is also the coordinator for the First Contact Signposting Scheme which helps quickly put older people in touch with the services they need through a simple checklist.

Carolyn Perry
Development Manager

Carolyn has worked at as part of the Development Team for over 10 years, and as the Development Manager for 4 years. Carolyn engages with community and voluntary groups and organisations as well as partner agencies to identify and address relevant issues, and plays a key role in strategic partnerships. She is line manages to the Development Team and oversees the Development Projects of Rushcliffe CVS.

Jayne Randle

Jayne joined us in January of this year as our Transport Coordinator. She takes responsibility for managing the Scheme - organising transport for the 350 passengers registered, administratering the scheme and managing the recruitment and induction of new volunteer drivers. Jayne works 16 hours a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

I have been the Coordinator at the Visitor Centre since June 2006 when the project first opened. David then joined the project in March 2007 Our responsibilities include ensuring that visitors fully understand and are supported through the visits process here at HMP Whatton. It is our continual aim to try and improve the visitor experience and help them through what can be an extremely difficult and anxious time. We are also helped in this aim by a team of dedicated volunteers.
